NESTOR Afrika fund

NESTOR Afrika

The NESTOR Afrika fund has adopted a long-term investment strategy covering a wide range of countries and sectors. Growth opportunities and investment risks vary according to country, sector and investment theme, and the fund takes account of this through targeted underweights and overweights.

The fund invests primarily in blue chips with a market capitalisation and liquidity that are acceptable in the African context, although it does also select the equities of smaller companies. As the fund's investment objective is to achieve above-average returns, it also weights aggressively by country and sector. Up to 10% of the net sub-fund assets can be invested in the shares of companies incorporated or doing most of their business outside Africa. In addition, up to 10% of the sub-fund assets can be invested in unlisted securities (e.g. pre-IPO investments).
