NESTOR France fund

NESTOR France

NESTOR France fund invests by preference in equities, convertible bonds and bond options, as well as convertible preference shares and option certificates on equities and dividend right certificates issued by small and medium-sized companies with above-average growth potential whose registered offices are situated in France or which do most of their business in that country. The sub-fund’s assets may from time to time also be invested in equities of large French companies where the management company believes this to serve the purpose of enhancing the sub-fund’s liquidity and making use of its upside.

Up to 20% of the sub-fund’s net assets may be invested in equities of non-French companies. The sub-fund’s assets may also, to a subordinate extent, be invested in variable- and fixed-interest securities and other permitted assets.

Dominique Catteaux

Dominique Catteaux

Dominique Catteaux has been an advisor to NESTOR France since its inception in 1997. He resigned in 2000 to devote himself to putting his database of French small caps on the internet. He has again had his hand on the tiller at NESTOR France since mid-2002.

Born in Roubaix in France, Dominique Catteaux first studied mathematics, physics, computer science and finance in Lille. He then trained as a financial analyst and became a journalist. Having spent ten years as editor-in-chief of La Vie Financiere, the biggest stock exchange newsletter in Paris, he then built up the online platform “Small Cap Services”, which published analyses of French small caps.

Dominique Catteaux has won many awards for his skill in successfully selecting French small caps, among them two gold medals from Sauren Fonds-Research AG since 2005.

Asked to describe his recipe for success, he says, “I look for shares that are going to be tomorrow’s stars”. His investment universe is enormous; he has over 800 securities to choose from.
