NESTOR Gold fund
The fund's assets are mainly invested in gold industry equities, i.e. those issued by companies engaged in exploration, production, processing and trading in gold and other precious metals and in related activities. The manager follows a “bottom up” approach to investing.
While being broadly diversified, the fund invests some of its assets (approx. 15 to 20%) in exploration companies as a speciality.

Walter Wehrli
Walter Wehrli has over 25 years’ experience of the world of international finance, and has been managing NESTOR Gold since its inception in 2002.
Wehrli’s career started in 1983, when he joined Banque Louis Dreyfus, trading derivatives and securities. He moved to UBS in 1992, at first occupying a variety of positions in asset management and investment banking before becoming Deputy Head of the Emerging Markets team in 1994, remaining there until 1998. During this period, he also carried out cross-boarder analyses on steel, coal and gold, and took on his first portfolios - a South African equity fund and the UBS Gold fund.
In 1999, he and Marc Gugerli set up their own firm. He is a recognised gold expert and advises well-known investment companies and asset managers. As well as NESTOR’s gold fund, the team looks after the Gold2000 Fund and the Julius Baer Gold Equity Fund. He is also one of the managers of the LODH World Gold Expertise Fund.
Like these, NESTOR Gold has received many awards for its performance. Sauren Fonds-Research AG, for example, has honoured Walter Wehrli’s achievements with two gold medals, most recently at the Golden Awards 2009.
